On May 21, 2021, Manitoba Public Health officials advised Whitmore School of at least one confirmed case of COVID-19 in the school on May 11, 2021. For further details, please click on the link. Due to the recent positive COVID-19 cases connected with Whitmore School, Manitoba Public Health has advised that Whitmore transition to full remote learning for a two-week period effective May 25th until June 4th, inclusive. On May 20, 2021, MVSD was notified of a new case of COVID-19 associated with Whitmore School; however, the individual was NOT present in the school during their period of communicability (POC) and there are no school-related close contacts. Therefore, no public health investigation in the school is required. The case will appear on the Manitoba COVID-19 Dashboard in the coming days. Click on the link for more details.

Whitmore School will be closed Friday, May 21st while we wait for Public Health to complete their investigation. More information will be provided as it becomes available from Public Health.
